Built in the Edwardian era by members of the Hope family, Whitney Court remains with them to this day. As custodians the family have ensured that the court has been sympathetically maintained to remain true to it's original character.

About Whitney Court

Whitney Court was built in the Edwardian era by members of the Hope family and remains in the same family to this day. That’s one reason why the manor house, has been carefully maintained with original oak floors, grand staircase and furnishings. If it is cold, then there are even log fires in the public rooms to add a really homely atmosphere.

The Court is set in 1000 acres of gardens, grassland and natural woodland, with sporting opportunities to be enjoyed, including 11 miles of walks and bridle paths. Use the estate for riding, explore, enjoy an early morning run, use our private fishing beats on the River Wye, play croquet on the terraces, go hill walking in the Black Mountains or Brecon Beacons or just chill out in the total peace of the house and gardens with friends and family.

If you have your own horses, then we can provide stabling for them (there is an extra charge; please book well in advance).

Whitney Court has bedroom accommodation for up to 22 guests. Our bedrooms are spacious and luxurious, with more than a touch of that old Edwardian charm. View our photo gallery here...
